Meet the Dentist
Robert T. Jensen, D.D.S., M.S.
Dr. Robert Jensen, originally from the Dayton area, graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Dayton with a B.A. degree in Chemistry in 1985. He then to moved to Chicago where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the prestigious Northwestern University Dental School. After graduating from dental school, Dr. Jensen was commissioned as an officer in the United States Air Force. While in the Air Force, he was stationed at Bolling Air Force Base in Washington DC where he completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency. He was then assigned to Bitburg AB in Germany. While at Bitburg AB, he served as a general dentist with an emphasis on surgical procedures, pediatric dentistry and restorative dentistry. He was also selected as the Medical Group's Company Grade Officer of the Year.
While at Bitburg AB, Dr. Jensen decided to pursue the dental specialty of Periodontics. He completed a rigorous three year residency in Periodontics and earned his Certification as a Periodontal Specialist at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center, Lackland AFB, San Antonio Texas. While completing his Periodontal Specialty Training, he also earned his Master in Science in Periodontics degree awarded by the University of Texas at San Antonio School of Biomedical Sciences. Upon completion of his periodontal residency, Dr. Jensen was assigned to Wright Patterson Air Force Base to serve as a Periodontist and as an instructor in an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency. He also successfully completed the requirements to become Board Certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. After serving his country as first an Air Force dentist and then as an Air Force periodontist over a ten year period, Dr. Jensen chose to stay in the Dayton area and establish a private practice in the area following his assignment at Wright Patterson AFB. He joined the practice of Dr. Clyde Berry in 1999 and became sole owner of the practice in 2001. Since starting his practice in the area, Dr. Jensen has been committed to providing the highest level of periodontal and dental implant speciality care in a friendly and compassionate manner.
Dr. Jensen has represented the Dayton Dental Society as a Delegate to the Ohio Dental Association's House of Delegates. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Dayton Dental Society. He has also served as Secretary and Vice-President, and he is currently serving as the elected President of the Dayton Dental Society.
In addition to his passion for dentistry and periodontics, Dr. Jensen also enjoys action and still photography, live theatre, cycling, traveling, canoeing, hiking and fishing, and many genres of music.
